Firewatch Patrol / Overnight Security | Penn Apartment staffing

Austin, Texas, Penn Apartment Staffing is seeking fire watchers to monitor apartment communities overnight. This person would patrol common areas, complete walk-through reports, report to 9-1-1 if a fire breaks out, and direct residents when systems (elevators, gates, fire sprinklers) are down.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This person would conduct walk throughs and keep a detailed log of common areas (pool/ spa, staircases, gyms, club house, parking lots, mail area, breezeways, etc.) and report to 9-1-1 and the community supervisor if anything is out of the ordinary or irregular. This person is also responsible for ensuring windows, doors, and entrances to common areas are secured and would report any other significant incidents, injuries, power failures, security breaches, etc. to appropriate supervisors.
NOTE: You will not be required to put out a fire but simply to alert 9-1-1, residents, and supervisors
SCHEDULE:

10+ hour shifts (day or night shifts, depending on availability)
Overtime may be required (must be approved by manager on-site)
Weekdays and/or weekend shifts available

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stay calm and address needs of residents during emergencies, which may include injury, unconsciousness, etc.
Must have ability to think and act quickly in emergencies and write accurate reports of incidents
Willingness to work nights or on unusual shifts
Must have own vehicle and working cell phone
