Perth, Australia, Job Title Facilities Manager Job Description Summary Job Description The Facilities Manager is responsible for providing oversight of the Facilities function within the site operations based at BHP Perth. This role will report directly to the Site Operations Lead providing a safe environment for all employees, contractors and visitors. The position is required to meet all contractual obligations and day to day deliverables and applying a consistent and methodical approach to all processes. This role will work closely with the Global Asset & Facilities Management CoE Lead to maintain, review and evolve the processes and playbooks and to deliver the Asset Lifecycle Management Plan. The role will also deliver or support and all simple or complex Minor Capital Projects. This role will be accountable for the scope of Facilities Management services under the contract that are delivered onsite and will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all related financial, compliance, regulatory requirements and KPI’s are met or exceeded. This people leadership role will work with the Site Operations Lead to recruit, onboard, engage, retain, performance manage and train all people within the Facilities Management team in their remit. This role will be based on site with the client and some travel to visit sites in their remit will be required. What You Will be Doing Act as an escalation point to support the Facilities Team members under the role remit and within region Respond to reactive maintenance and service escalations from the CXC for technical or practical insight / advice / guidance Lead direct reports and drive vendor and contractors to perform in a safe and compliant manner, ensuring all minimum standards and compliance requirements are adhered to Ensure appropriate processes and playbooks are in place, regularly reviewed and all team members are trained In conjunction with the Site Operations Lead, develop the budget and manage cost to budget forecast to deliver financial performance and glide path savings targets Provide advice regarding cost and benchmarking, in particular of FM assets and services Ensure stakeholders are fully informed and consulted with a customer first mindset Responsible for providing subject matter advice and expertise to the external stakeholders Ensure the implementation of scheduled routine tasks and preventative maintenance activities Support the Asset Lifecycle plan annually or as required Provide input into the Asset & Lifecycle Management plan regarding scheduled routine tasks and preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment and routine services are delivered in line with compliance obligations and client site requirements Manages the service delivery of local and regional vendors; is directly responsible for the performance of all vendors and suppliers performance in sites under their remit Ensures the team/s ability to provide the appropriate focus to deliver the best financial and compliance outcomes to the client Effectively manages the recruitment, onboarding, training, performance and retention of team members Delivering simple Minor Capital Projects and supporting Complex Minor Capital Projects What You Will Bring Minimum 5+ years’ experience in leading, developing and coaching teams Strong experience in FM operations in corporate office environments where the client is an occupier Strong experience in regulatory compliance Experience in similar sized portfolios, complex corporate hierarchies and preferably as an outsourced service provider Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong client focus and customer experience mindset essential Strong experience in stakeholder/contractor management Why join Cushman & Wakefield?
