Houston, Texas, Penn Apartment Staffing is seeking an experienced and skilled apartment Housekeeper for an opening at an apartment community in Houston, TX.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The apartment Housekeeper is to perform cleaning tasks required to effectively maintain a desirable property appearance. The Housekeeper must be prepared to work before, during, and after the maintenance staff has performed their scheduled job duties. The Housekeeper must cooperate with all departments in completing all assigned tasks. Under supervision, cleans, polishes, and sanitizes gathering and public spaces including lobbies, halls, stairwells, activities rooms, dining rooms, elevators, etc. to present the community in a positive and impressive manner for residents and guests. Cleans residents’ apartments on a weekly basis or as needed. In addition, interacts with residents and guests in a friendly and courteous manner, aiding, and directions as requested.

Clean and dust the office, clubhouse, laundry facility, barbecue grills, and all common areas daily in the morning. Prepare coffee and other refreshments for the opening of the office.
Clean all model apartments on a weekly basis. Water any plants that are outside the model entrance twice a week or as needed.
Clean the apartment units, including, but not limited to; vacuum, clean floors, blinds, switch plates, mirrors, storage closet area, window sills, and doors. In the kitchen, clean the stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, sink, countertops, cabinets and floors. In the bathrooms, clean tile, walls of the shower, toilet, sink, mirrors, and floors.
Ensure all make-readies are cleaned properly and promptly with a minimum goal of one unit per day.

Perform additional duties, responsibilities, or projects as assigned.
Safety Requirements:

Must always use proper safety equipment as required.
Close-toed, slip-resistant shoes must always be worn.
Housekeepers are NOT allowed to move appliances, they are to ask for help from the maintenance staff.
Report all safety issues/concerns to the manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum of 6 months of Housekeeping or similar experience
Steady work history
Must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe maintenance use of Cleaning fluids and tools, including a mop, broom, vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaning equipment, buffer, step ladder, and full ladder.
